How did I become “The Baby Expert”?

As a perinatal trainer, I feed my passion for babies with many families. In order to reach even more parents, in 2013 I launched my own company: mariefortier.com.

After 30 years of service as a clinician nurse in perinatal care, I retired from the public health network and no longer renewed my permit from the Ordre des Infirmières et Infirmiers du Québec since September 2016. I am now fully devoted to sending you updated, useful and in-depth information that will help you prepare for your role as parents. I also work with health professionals, developing programs and educational tools on the topic of caring for babies, as well as developing prenatal classes.

I also host, since Spring 2017 to recently, a radio show on Monday mornings on Rouge FM Estrie.

My Experience

  • Diploma in Nursing (1985)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1989)
  • Master of Clinical Sciences (Nursing) (1998)
  • Perinatal Nurse (1986-2016)
  • OIIQ member  (1985-2016)
  • Taught at the Cégep de Sherbrooke and the Université de Sherbrooke (during 15 years)
