Can I give goat milk to my baby?

Postnatal, Your questions

I would like to give goat milk to my 9-month-old baby, but my mother said I can’t and that I have to use cow milk. Is this true? Lyne

Hello Lyne, you can give your baby goat milk under certain conditions. First, your baby has to be at least 9 months old, is eating well from all food groups, and their growth is as expected (height and weight). Make sure you choose pasteurised goat milk with 3.25% fat and with added folic acid and vitamin D. If you meet all these conditions, yes, you can give goat milk to your baby.
