Drinking Coffee or Tea Pregnant

Health advice

Previous part, Foods to Avoid When Pregnant.

Drinking coffee very moderately is acceptable during pregnancy, but recommendations state not consuming more than 300 mg/day of caffeine, which is about 2-3 cups.

Don’t forget to count all the drinks or foods that you consume that may contain caffeine, such as tea, soft drinks and chocolate. For more details about measuring caffeine, see the article I wrote about Caffeine and Pregnancy.

You have to be careful when choosing teas during pregnancy because we don’t currently know enough about their possible effects on the development of the fetus.

You can drink a maximum of 2-3 cups of the following teas per day: citrus rind, ginger, linden flower, lemon balm and rosehip

I hope this article has brought together enough information about essential elements you need to consider for your diet and foods to avoid as much as possible when pregnant.
