Female infertility is a complex illness because many factors can compromise the normal reproductive process. So it is essential that the medical team understands all the factors that influence a woman’s fertility. Is it a hormonal imbalance? Or a problem associated with her ovaries that don’t produce enough or any ovum? Or rather, is it a structural problem related to her fallopian tubes or uterus?

Half of the women who have difficulty having a baby ovulate correctly but do not become pregnant. The problem is often associated with their structures, their reproductive organs that hinder the rest of the normal fertilisation process.

Whatever the cause, the usual steps to identify possible infertility causes start with less invasive tests and continue with other more invasive tests as needed.

The two most common causes of infertility in women is the absence of ovulation and blockages of the fallopian tubes.
