A midwife is a health professional with university training who works with couples during a healthy pregnancy and childbirth. The pregnancy monitoring is at the same pace, but the appointments are often longer, say about 50 minutes. Many parents can worry about this type of monitoring if complications occur during the pregnancy, but a midwife can refer you to a medical team if needed.
