Marie, my baby doesn’t always burp after breastfeeding. Is it really necessary?

Vicky

Vicky, no, some babies breastfeed and don’t take in air and thus won’t need to burp. However, it’s a good idea to try by softly patting their back. If nothing happens, you can put your baby in their crib. If they don’t complain, everything is fine. If they do, when raising them to the vertical position, the air will rise up, and they will have an easier time burping.

Talk soon,
