How can I relieve the baby’s pressure in my pelvis?

31-32 weeks pregnant, Health advice, Questions/answers

Marie, I have a baby in my pelvis that places a lot of weight on my pubic symphysis. I feel like the baby will pop out at any time! It’s so painful that I don’t know how to position myself! Can you help?

Thanks!

Adèle

Adèle, it’s true that your pelvis needs to support the beautiful little package for several months. It’s something that it usually doesn’t have to do, and it often comes with discomfort. Now, since you can’t take anti-inflammatories, I advise acupuncture or osteopathy to relieve your pain and discomfort. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Please read my articles Osteopathy and Pregnancy and Acupuncture and Pregnancy for more details.
