I am pregnant and my doctor said I have gained too much weight. What should I do?

Marie, I’m very worried because during my last appointment my doctor said I have gained too much weight for my number of weeks pregnant. I swear I am being careful, but now I am scared to eat, even foods that are good for me. Help!

Katia, you are not alone. Many women have experienced this. If you know you are eating well, you don’t need to worry too much. You have to eat to fulfill your appetite (with foods from each food group), being careful of foods with too much sugar, salt and bad fats.
