Can I take a flight during my pregnancy?

15-16 weeks pregnant, Health advice

I am 16 weeks pregnant and I have the chance to go south with my partner for 10 days. I am worried about the recommendations concerning flights and pregnancy. Can you give me some advice?

Thanks, Rosie

Hello Rosie,

Lucky you! Of to warmer climates!

In fact, it is safe to take a flight during your pregnancy, but ideally not during the last trimester (which is not your case). Also, I wrote an article about precautions you can take to avoid infectious diseases. Please read Pregnancy and Travel to answer all your questions. I also talk about travel with a young baby, which can help you when you decide to travel with your little one.
