What is Sudden Infant Death Syndrome?

Postnatal

My friend’s baby died in their sleep. Since then, I have difficulty sleeping because I am always thinking about my baby in the room beside me, sleeping. I know as a new mother who gave birth 6 weeks ago, I can worry, but if I can do something to prevent this, can you tell me what to do, please?

Thanks in advance,

Marie-Rose

Marie-Rose, I am happy you are asking your question to relieve some of your anxiety. In fact, future parents must be informed about different emergency situations that can occur with a young baby in the home. They should know how to prevent emergencies and how to act if they occur. Karl, a paramedic and father, is very aware of this issue and accepted to write an article with me about sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

Talk soon,

Marie
